Border area cadets attend NCC camp

Baramulla, Feb 25 In keeping with PMs Initiative of enhancing the footprints of NCC in Border Areas and enrolling maximum youth to bring them into the national mainstream, NCC Group Srinagar is conducting an Annual Training Camp in Baramulla after more than adecade. After the successful conduct of NCC camp at Uri in Oct 2020, another camp is being conducted by NCC at Baramulla from 22 Feb to 27 Feb 2021 under the guidance of Col Ravinder CO, 3 J&K Bn NCC, Baramulla with the support of the local Army formation. The camp is being attended by boys of Govt Colleges and Schools of Delina, Sopore, Baramulla and Handwara with a aim of covering training missed due to COVID situation and making them eligible for certificate exams. The camp commenced with mandatory COVID test for all cadets and staff. Thereafter, variety of topics like service subjects, physical fitness, confidence building, sports and adventure activities will also be carried out. The cadets will also be conducting social services and community development programmes during the period. The cadets attending the camp are all exuberant and excited in undergoing all activities in the camp and have expressed hope that conduct of such camps in Northern Kashmir becomes a regular feature.
