NCC in Central University of Jammu

Samba, Dec 01 Samba- National Cadet Corps (NCC) is one of the largest uniformed youth organizations in the world and over the last seven decades has rendered yeoman service to the Nation. Under the able leadership of Maj Gen Naveen Kumar Airy, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladhak a banner of NCC along with parchment certificate was handed over by Brig Satish Kumar, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu to Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu in Samba District for opening of NCC of hundred (100) Senior Division Boys in their University, part of newly raised 4th J&K Battalion NCC which is being commanded by Col Dharmendra Pandey. 4th J&K Battalion spreads in Samba and Kathua districts and recently seventeen (17) schools and colleges of Border areas were benefitted by providing NCC to them. The values and morale imbibed in NCC over the period of three years is transformational indeed. It transforms you from a student to a cadet by challenging you at every step and making you better every time. Drill is the bedrock of discipline here one learns to obey as well as give orders. The perfect sync of boots stamping, enhances team work and co-ordination. NCC helps the cadets by achieving their aspirations by joining the Armed Forces and various other State and Central Government jobs, over and above it shapes cadets into best citizen of the country.
