Shehla ‘episode’ proof of youth playing in hands of anti-nationals: Kavinder

Y B News Jammu, Dec 01 Condemning Shehla Rashid for threatening her father of his life, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday said that the aforesaid case is testimony to the fact that some youth are playing in the hands of anti-national elements posing a great risk to national security. While addressing an election campaign meetings in support of Party candidates Bharat Bhushan and Bandhna Kumari at Marh and Bhalwal Blocks for DDC polls here today, the senior BJP leader said, “Instead of working to accomplish nation building, boys and girls are being lured by the power of money, religious extremism, drugs, etc to act against the country and the case of Shehla Rashid has opened the eyes of many especially government agencies that youths can go to any extent to obey the orders of their bosses who have trapped them by the aforesaid entities”. He said that so called social activist Shehla Rashid’s dubious activities have become public by the revelations made by her father after lodging a complaint with DGP J&K that she has threatened to kill him. The BJP stalwart made it clear that unlike earlier cases, this time it is BJP government in the center and such cases will be handled with sternness with no room left for any kind of laxity. He said that if accusations made by father of Shehla Rashid are proved then she will have to face the law with no leniency. “The day Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister of the country, the things have taken a new turn with no scope left for lawbook violators to consider India as paradise for them with no one bothering to act against them. BJP works on the principle of ‘country is first’ and there is no other priority of party. Whosoever is found indulged in anti-national acts will be caught and booked by the BJP government. The party will not allow anyone to dent the interests of the country”, the senior BJP leader said, adding that soon a mechanism will be set up to insulate youth from those who are trying entrap them by offering baits like money, drugs, etc. The former Deputy Chief Minister urged the people to remain vigilant against such elements and make sure that their children do not fall prey to their inducements. Talking about DDC polls, he said that it is the right opportunity for people to ensure speedy development and doorstep facilities by electing BJP candidates as all other parties in J&K have vested interests and hidden agendas and going after those political outfits is nothing but giving helm in the hands of ‘development retarders’ which is not in the interest of anybody. “The calculation is simple that ‘vote to BJP is vote to prosperity’ and vote to others is vote to misery”, he said adding that the choice before the people of J&K is now clear. He assured the people that BJP will leave no stone unturned to ensure model development in J&K with people getting basic amenities at their doorsteps. Narayan Singh, Rajinder Chib, Omi Khajuria, Kapil Chib, Surinder Sharma and Ved Parkash were also accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister.
