Drunk cop sexually harasses women; shoots man

New Delhi, Dec 1 An Uttar Pradesh policeman has allegedly sexually harassed women and shot at a man who objected to his behaviour in Azamgarh. The accused policeman has been identified as Sarvesh, according to a report in Times Now. The injured man has been identified as Kishanlal. The incident happened under the Saraimeer police station area's Kamalpur village when the drunk policeman allegedly harassed the women. The women were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony in the village. The policeman and his friends were consuming liquour on the road and passed objectionable comments at the women while they were on the way. When Kishanlal objected, a fight broke out. The altercation turned violent resulting in Kishanlal being shot at. The police have arrested three men including, the policeman - posted in Gonda, in the matter. The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Kishanlal has been referred to Varanasi for further treatment.
