Bengaluru, Dec 1 Chandni Naik, a local BJP leader in Karnataka, who was attacked by BJP MLA Siddu Savadi and his supporters on November 9 has allegedly suffered a miscarriage following the heckling. Her husband Nagesh Naik, another BJP leader from Mahalingpur in Bagalkot district, has made the charges against the MLA. Chandni Naik is a member of the Mahalingpur Town Municipal Council (TMC). India Today TV had earlier reported how the MLA along with his supporters had pushed her to stop her from voting in the elections to the posts of president and vice-president. The video of the MLA attacking the councillor went viral on social media. The husband has now decided to drag the BJP MLA to court. Chandni Naik said, “The MLA did rowdyism and pulled me. Can the MLA do this? How can women be in politics? PM says beti bachao beti padhao. So, is this right?” MLA Savadi has debunked the allegations against him and said that it is a bogus claim by the woman. “I am getting hospital reports that she got tubectomy done 6 years ago. In a day I will release.
