Chennai, Nov 30 Rajinikanth has said he met the district secretaries of his political outfit, discussed their views and will make a decision on the much-awaited political plunge soon. “They gave their views and I shared mine. They said that they will stand by me in whatever I decide. I will make my decision soon,” said Rajinikanth on Monday after his meeting with the office bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram. Rajinikanth said the secretaries shared their views and that he also shared his opinions with them. Sources have also said a “conclusive decision” on Rajinikanth’s political plunge will be taken around January. This comes even as doctors have advised Rajinikanth against taking the political plunge over health concerns. The meeting with Rajini Makkal Mandram's district secretaries on Monday was conducted at Rajinikanth’s Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. A month earlier, Rajinikanth had said "at the right time, I will let the people know about my political stand after consulting the office-bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram." Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu during April-May 2021. On the agenda of Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated meeting, sources indicated that an announcement is expected following consultations since Rajinikanth had himself said that he would make his stand known after consulting Mandram's office-bearers. Rajinikanth had on October 29 said he has been advised against entering politics by doctors as he had undergone a kidney transplant in 2016 and also due to the coronavirus.
