Narcotic bid foiled approx 27 Kg of charas recovered

Udhampur, Nov 30 In a major success continuing JKP's war on drugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police recovered approx 27 Kg of contraband substance Charas like substance from 02 narcotic smugglers at naka point Tikri, NHW, Udhampur. Police party of PS Rehambal led by Insp. Chaman Gorka SHO PS Rehambal assisted by SI Jaswinder Singh IC PP Tikri under the supervision of Sh. Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur and Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl.SP Udhampur laid a naka at naka point Tikri, NHW, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. During naka checking, police party stopped one vehicle (truck) bearing registration no. JK03J 6144 for thorough search. During search of said vehicle, approx 27 kg of charas like substance was recovered from the possession of 02 narcotic smugglers who were arrested on the spot. The identity of these narcotic smugglers were established as Danish Rehman S/O Abdul Rehman Dar R/O Bijbehara, Anantnag and Aabid Ahmed Reshi S/O Abdul Hameed Reshi R/O Bijbehara, Anantnag. The said narcoticz consignment along with the involved vehicle was seized.
