3 persons involved in betting arrested

Jammu, Nov 30 An information was received at P/S Gandhi Nagar through reliable sources that persons namely Amit Gupta S/o Vijay Kumar Gupta R/o Channi Himmat, Jammu, Varinder Kumar S/o Late. Kartar Chand R/o 120, Poonch House colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu and Anshul Anand S/o Indu Bhushan R/o 1819, Shastri Nagar, Jammu were involved in carrying out illegal betting during cricket matches. On this police team led by SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar Insp. Gurnam Singh assisted by IC PP Digiana SI Sandeep Kumar raided the place and seized 10 mobile phones, 02 laptops, 01 printer, cash Rs. 4,67,500/- and many electronic materials from the spot. In this regard, a case FIR No. 200/2020 U/S 420/120-B IPC, 3/4 Gambling Act got registered in P/S Gandhi Nagar. Further investigation of the case is going on.
