FAILED JAMMU BANDHEXPOSES OPPOSITIONS’ HOLLOWNESS: BJP

Jammu, Dec 8 Jammu Bandh call on 07 December given by the Panthers led opposition parties failed miserably as it failed to invoke any local support while the life in the city and its periphery continued as normal. Congress as usual was firing from the shoulders of others because it lacks the courage to face the people on its own strength. In a press release issued today Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that the opposition lacks credence among the public because it failed to elicit support from the Bar, Chamber, Traders and Transporters. It has exposed the “hollowness” of the opposition proving the proverb “empty vessels make more noises” true, said Brig Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of the Party. Having failed to muster the public sympathy and support, the Congress Spokesperson has tried to cover the failure through usual trick of blaming the BJP, rued Brig Gupta. “For how long the opposition can survive just by launching tirade against the BJP? They need to win the confidence of the people through positive acts since days of negative, communal and divisive politics on which these parties thrive are gone since they have been rejected repeatedly by the people. Only ‘sick minds’ resort to ‘sick thinking’ and people know that negativity is the major sign of a ‘sick mind’,” asserted Brig Gupta. The Congress spokesperson earlier had blamed BJP of ‘sick thinking’. “The opposition’s ploy of gaining sympathy by blaming the Administration to supress opposition at the behest of BJP will never succeed because the people are watching the activities of the administration and every political party with open eyes and refuse to be carried away by motivated propaganda of the opposition which refuses to acknowledge positive contribution of the administration.” The UT administration is working 24x7 to ameliorate the lives of the people and embark on the path of development. The administration has announced number of employee friendly measures bringing smiles on the faces of lakhs of government employees with grant of leave travel concession (LTC) being the latest but opposition is busy criticising the administration. Honourable LG has also announced that 73rd& 74th Amendments will be adopted in the UT. The other people friendly measures include time bound construction of accommodation for migrant employees, filling up of migrant vacancies, payment of compensation to different type of refugees including West Pakistan refugees, resumption of electoral process, enhanced vacancies for widow pension, addressing the issues related to ex-servicemen including their reemployment in JKP, Global Investors’ Summit and women safety measures at night by Jammu Police.
