DDC Poonch reviews arrangements of "International Yoga Day"

Sayed Kamran Ali Poonch, June 14 In order to review the arrangements for ensuing “International Yoga Day” being observed on 21st June at National Level, DC Poonch Rahul Yadav held a meeting of officers here in his office chamber today. It was decided that the event will be organized at Boys Higher Secondary School where arrangements for large gathering will be made to commemorate the day. During the meeting the DDC called for inter-departmental coordination and collaboration between the departments involving all stakeholders of the society for the success of the event. He also stressed for generating mass awareness about benefits of yoga and all out efforts to ensure mass participation of the people. The DDC called for making and ensuring elaborate arrangements by different departments and assigned responsibilities among the departments. The Youth Sports Services department will do ground marking the venue ground. The Education Department will ensure the participation of students from government and private educational institutions. Cleanliness and Sound System plus wide publicity of the event are to be ensured by the Municipality and Information department respectively. ADC, CPO, District Youth Coordinator NYK Poonch, CEO Poonch besides other officials of concerned department was present during the meeting. Earlier today, DDC paid homage to the Shaheed Aurengzeb in Mendhar on his death anniversary. He also participated in the Urs of shrine Peer Haider Shah.
