Panic grips Katra with presence of live mortar shell

When the news spread of the presence of a live mortar shell in a village near Holy town Katra, everybody was shocked as to what has caused it's presence near the holy town.
Nobody had the clew and then, the police was informed about this unsloved puzzle. Within minutes police along with media persons were present in village Padou near Kalsha temple to interrogate the matter.
On seeing a live mortar shell in the nallah, even police personnel didn't have any idea of how it came there. On investigation, villagers told police this might be from years back when army had a training session here in 1994.
The mortar shell seems old and was rusty giving an indication it was of old built. On having a proper look, it showed year 1994 on it and it was a 81mm shell which was lying silent for ages.
It could have caused a significant damage if any kid could have seen it and than took it as a play toy would have brought it home. But, nothing like that happened and police after proper check, cordoned off the area and got it defused
The bomb defusal squad was there to assist the police and without wasting much time got it defused. The blast was so severe that it could be heard miles away.
The villagers being responsible called police and DSP Vishal Shekhar along with SHO Pradeep Gupta and the team was there on time and controlled the situation without any harm.
