Increasing road accidents: Finally govt awakens, issue whatsapp number

In order to keep a check over the increasing road accidents, in which many people had been lost their precious lives. The government finally awakens and asked the people to avoid use the vehicles, which are already overloaded.
In an order issued here today, the J&K State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) on Sunday appealed public not to board a public vehicle that is already full to capacity.
As per the handout issued here, SDMA has appealed public in general and passengers, in particular, instead of boarding a vehicle that is already full to capacity, should wait for the next bus or taxi.
Pertinent to mention here that in the recent days, in many road accidents, numerous people lost their precious lives, and the reason was the same. Overloading by the mini-bus operators are the biggest reason behind such road accidents.
“People in order to save their time, used to board the vehicles, which already are overloaded and never bothered to wait for some time,” said Ram Lal Sharma, a local resident of Doda area.
The official communiqué further informs that if a person sees any vehicle overloaded, he should immediately report the matter, either by calling or sending the picture with all the necessary details on designated numbers.
It is said that the sent photograph of the vehicle should be showing the overload, and should clearly be depicting vehicle registration number plate. Besides, name of place and time should also be mentioned.

In the handout, the government has further warned the mini-buses operators, to follow the guidelines otherwise, a stringent action will be taken against the defaulter and your identity will be kept confidential.
