Meenal is a very humble and simple girl with very high ambition and sharp focus. She is a Chess champion and has been learning the chess skills from her childhood. She started playing chess at the age of 9.
Her motivator has been her father who inspired her to play chess inspite of initials failures in various chess championships. Her father stood besides her like a strong wall and inspired her to play the game with full dedication.
Her first gold medal was from Common Wealth Games 2016 wherein 188 countries played. It was very tough but her strong determination made her to win medal. In the year 2018 she won silver medal in Common Wealth, where competetion was very tough as there were 730 players from 15 different countries playing the tournament.
A Jodhamal Public school student, Meenal is thankful towards her school as well as her coach Vivek for being very supportive. Sharing her experiences, she says that people only look at the medals but behind those medals is the hard work, determination and lot of efforts from family to reach the target.
Chess is a mind game and for the exercise of mind she believes in Yoga, meditation, Pranayam, which she does on regular basis, not only this, she is a fitness freak and takes cares of her body as well. Her success mantra is that she never takes pressure, never nervous for any event but only excited.
At such a small age she talks like a very mature person. She never differentiates between events, whether it is school level, national level or international, or whether she plays with her friends or family, she gives her 100%.
Her aim is to become Women World Champion.
She advices all the youngsters to never give up, failures will come but never get disheartened, have faith in oneself. Hard work has no alternative, she says that she lost many championships, but never lost courage, passion and madness for her game.
