'Utterly disgusting': Priyanka Chopra should sorry for ‘Hindu terror plot’ in Quantico

A recent episode of Priyanka Chopra’s television show, Quantico, in which ‘Indian nationalists’ plot a terrorist attack in Manhattan with the intention of blaming it on Pakistan, has angered people of the Country. Fans of the actor and the show posted comments on Twitter slamming their decision to include such a plot.
The episode which reportedly aired on June 1 shows an MIT professor planning to target an India-Pakistan summit in Manhattan with a nuclear bomb. This was followed by ‘Indian’, Hindu to be precise, terrorists with ‘Rudraksha’ setting out for the attack with a plan to pin the blame on Pakistan.
While it is obvious that the makers are responsible for the ‘ploy to denigrate India’, ‘bringing shame to the country’, it is upsetting about equating the country with ‘Terrorists-mother country Pakistan’ and such a plot ‘shivers our nerves.’
However the story is ‘ridiculous’, ‘nonsensical stuff’, Priyanka should have shame on herself, may it can be called her money-hungry. Her work never permits her to spread propaganda against the country.
The scene led to public outrage from the Hindu nationalists. It is appealed to public in general to boycott any work, ads or movies of Priyanka Chopra and appeal to Indian government to strip her of Indian citizenship and deny her entry in India.
Pertinently, the series is all set to conclude with this season owing to unimpressive ratings and we wonder if such a plot was planned so that they can draw viewers to ‘end on a high’ in August.
The plot had not gone down well with some of the Indian Twitter users, who vented it out on the microblogging platform.
Priyanka stars in Quantico as Alex Parrish, who initially was an FBI trainee suspected of being a terrorist. The show also stars Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi, Blair Underwood, Marlee Matlin and Alan Powell.
Quantico was recently cancelled due to lacklustre ratings. Its third season will be its last. Priyanka, meanwhile, has signed her first Bollywood film in years, the Salman Khan-starrer, Bharat. She most recently appeared in the indie drama, A Kid Like Jake.
