Kendriya Vidyalya Sangathan has announced to give new facilities to the schools in the form of E-classrooms. Every class room from standard 3rd to 12th will be equipped with gadgets including interactive boards, multimedia projector, visualizer and PC.
The schools of KV have a very well qualified staff and competent teachers, so this initiative to make its class rooms technology enabled will give a boost in the development of the schools to next level. These material development tools will also provide an opportunity to students for creating their own assignments, lesson plans etc. during their Formative Assessments. A good quality content is being developed by NCERT and CBSE. KV’s will leverage on these resources for content.
The pilot projects are going to start in 50 schools. E-classes will be recorded and circulated among KVs. Around 300 schools are given digital teacher’s diary to record teaching activities and student performance for online access by all stake holders. Loans will be provided to teachers on very low interest rates for the purchase of laptops. There will be new digital courses for classes 3rd to 12th.
