Lal Singh for encouraging enrollment in Govt schools Teacher’s role pivotal in shaping students’ personality

Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh today asked the Government teachers to enroll their own wards in the Government run schools to encourage the general public to follow the suit, adding that Government schools have been upgraded with well qualified staff, latest techniques and infrastructure at par with private institutions.
The Minister was speaking at 36th Annual Day-Cum-Prize distribution function of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan in Samba, here today.
District Development Commissioner Sheetal Nanda, Chairperson Humanity Public School Meera Charak, Principal GouravCharak besides teaching, non-teaching staff members, parents and students in large numbers were present on the occasion.
The Annual Day function began with lighting the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries of the function.
Choudhary Lal Singh asked the teachers to give their best to the society as they are the real builders of the nation. He urged upon the teachers to perform duties with dedication so that people opt to send their children to the Government schools.
Stating that the role of the teachers and parents is vital in shaping the personality of students, Minister called upon the parents to send their wards to schools for becoming good citizens of the country.
He asked the students community to work for unity and integrity of the country and also appealed the parents to come forward and support their children in this mission so that India becomes stronger day by day.
Singh also felicitated the achievers in academic, sports and cultural activities in the school. Prizes were also given to teachers whose students excelled in co-curricular activities.
Earlier, the Principal of the school Gaurav Charak presented the welcome address and read annual report of the school by highlighting the milestones crossed by the school in its educational journey with the students receiving laurels and accolades in almost every field.
On the occasion, students of the school presented a colourful cultural programme which was highly appreciated by the audience.
