Zulfkar reviews status of pending court cases of FCS&CA, Tribal Affairs Department Stresses for their early disposal

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today convened a meeting with the officers of concerned departments to discuss the status of the cases of the departments under his charge pending before different courts of law.
Advocate General, Jahangir Iqbal Ganai, Commissioner Secretary FCS&CA Department M.D Khan, Senior Additional Advocate General Seema Shekhar, Director FCS&CA Kashmir, Director Tribal Affairs, Controller Legal Metrology, Joint Director FCS&CAD Jammu, Joint Controller and Deputy Controller of Legal Metrology Department, Law officers besides other senior officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister discussed various cases including litigation in respect of newly opened fair price shops, settlement of pension cases, transportation cases, regularization of daily wagers/casual labourers/chowkidars, besides other legal issues related to Tribal Affairs and Legal Metrology Departments.
The Minister directed tribal affairs functionaries to seek legal opinion while formulation of comprehensive plan for relocation and rehabilitation of landless nomads.
Stressing on the need for early disposal and logical conclusion of the pending cases, the Minister directed for monitoring the progress of the cases on regular basis. He reviewed each court case in detail and directed the law officers to expedite the process for early disposal of the same. The meeting also held detailed discussions on the sanctioned strength of staff in the FCS&CA department.
